Over the past 24 hours, I have been going through the website with a fine tooth comb, trying to fix all the little issues and niggles I haven’t been happy with for the past year. The focus has always been to be functional, and worry about the quality of the design later. But ‘later’ never seemed to come along.

From the front-page, to the way tarot readings can now be ordered – I’ve played with everything. So I thought it would be a good idea to give a brief overview of the changes (so far), to make life easier for everyone.
The overall design is to make it feel like it is a direct reflection from our live streams. As you can see, above, the home page is now a much clearer banner with simple design. It is still missing a few bits, but definitely a step in the right direction.
Clear, Modern Call Out Design
Also, I have focused on creating a new modern design for specific ‘call-outs’ for social media, important information (etc). The example to the right is for the Gazette Newsletter sign up – which can be found at the bottom of every page on this site. You will start to see these appearing around the site eventually – bringing focus to important or relevant information.
It took a lot longer than it looks to restrain the design to make such an impact. Clear, simple, easy to understand. The design (for the proper geeky) is dynamic, so can ‘fix’ in any area we wish to post it.
I am very excited to roll these out – meaning less space taken up for important things – and more space to focus on the fun stuff that you’ve actually come here for.
New Tarot Readings
Continuing on with the simplistic approach, I’ve finally reworked how people can order readings on the site.
Instead of having multiple sections for each reading subject (i.e. general readings, career readings, love readings) – each multiple ‘products’ listed for each, depending on the amount of questions you wished to ask within the reading – we have finally rolled out a much more elegant solution.
For full transparency, as we’ve merged all question readings in to one product, we will be merging all the reviews that we’ve kindly received across those original ‘products’ in to the one also. As I see it, they are a merging and ‘rebranding’ of the same services. So the data is still relevant. If you have a different opinion, please comment below.
We have not, however, merged the Full Celtic Cross readings – as these are popular and should be standalone styles of reading. Similar to our specialist tarot readings services.
More Flexibility and Options for Tarot Readings
The biggest update concerning readings, is the amount of choice you now have to tailor the reading to fit your needs. This, in truth, was also the biggest headache 😛
You now have complete control with an array of additions you can now choose to add to your ‘base reading’ booking. As we’ve merged all the old ‘One Question, Two Question, Three questions’ readings in to one, it means you can now dynamically change the service allowing true flexibility to craft the reading that you need. There are no hidden costs either, the page will dynamically change to reflect the order you are tailoring.
As we have rarely had a three question reading, we have now dropped that option. However, a second question is now just £10 more. Yes, even with this dynamic pricing structure, the prices have been reduced to reflect the new way of doing things. It is also hoped it will help people who need to access these services during the foreseeable global recession fast approaching.
Finally, the emails are working
There was a weird bug in the ‘contact us’ form. We do not know how long it has been there, not working. But it has now been fixed. If you’ve contacted us reasonably recently via it… nothing was received. Sorry, we aren’t ignoring you.
So that’s where we are currently – there is a lot still to update/upgrade – and of course I will keep you up-to-date with the latest. Please be aware that there is going to be a lot of ‘old design’/’new design’ flicking back and forth as you navigate in the following days. However, I hope you can see that the change is coming, and will be all done soon enough.
