What an amazing blessing these past few weeks have been!
For those who do not know, we are now ‘YouTube Famous’ – after I followed a download / nudge to upload a few readings on the platform – only 3½ weeks ago. In the time since, we have been viewed over 200k times, and gained around 1000 subscribers every week. This has exploded the amount of new people and interest in the Village – along with trying to keep up with comments and other awesome interactions. What a learning curve!
I was reflecting with some of the village that no one talks about the amount of work that comes with a success on YouTube – no matter the size. As I type this, I have approx 2000 unread comments on the YouTube channel. Let alone Google keeps bugging you for more data / information, and other automated systems want you to play with them too – and it suddenly becomes very confusing and very overwhelming.
Then… when you are trying to get yourself sorted, and when you least expect it, the website causes mischief…
‘My Readings’ Bug Fixed
Along with the beautiful people who have joined the village, came confusion from our newly built site. Some people were getting their ‘My Readings’ private video vault, like everyone is supposed to – while others did not. This is supposed to be auto-generated when everyone creates their Village ID on the site. Even you reading this, if you have a Village ID – you have been automatically allocated a ‘My Readings’ area dedicated just for you – no one else. So the fact that some were being generated, and some were not, was extremely confusing. Along with the sudden increase of new friends on YouTube – the timing could have been better. As with the lovely increase of new friends, came a major increase in private, personal readings. Another beautiful blessing. Clearly, God / Spirit / Universe had not seen my inbox tray at the time! LMAO
What I resorted to doing was doing the personal, private readings as normal, then emailing links to the direct videos on the ’emergency backup’ system.
Thankfully, as I type this, the system is now working beautifully again. Everyone is getting their vaults auto-generated, and I can breathe a sigh of relief.
New Memberships
For the longest time, we have had the Twitch Sub Tiers, and the Pleasants, Pilgrims, Protectors and Prophets here on the site – and all was well. Now, we have a new group of lovely people on YouTube Memberships. YouTube Village Elite Members gain access to additional Current Event Readings, Prediction Readings as well as exclusive General Vibe Readings.
The simple rule to follow (how I remember at least): E’s are on external platforms, P’s are on the Greatest Good Tarot site.
- Twitch Sub Tiers – You are all now known as “Village Enlightened”, as the work on there is primarily free tarot readings.
- YouTube Members – You are all known as “Village Elite”, as you are gaining access to more videos via YouTube Channel.
- Pleasants, Pilgrims, Protectors and Prophets – thankfully, no changes for you!
Important to note: ALL paid members, no matter which platform you support the Village from, get the same benefits unlocked on the Discord Server. Simply, connect your account to Discord and magic unlocks.
Laptop Fundraising
I have truly been blessed with everyone who donated to the new laptop fund. To catch everyone up, the current laptop I have is able to record ‘live to tape’, can even stream, but it is having GREAT difficulty editing videos. Which is causing a huge backlog of courses and crash courses I have been wanting to create for some time now. The research and information is ready to record, just pointless if I cannot edit anything.
Thankfully, along with Twitch pennies, GGT is now eligible to YouTube pennies too.
Several kind people on YouTube have sent in ‘Super Thanks’ donations on certain videos which are being added to the fund raised so far – plus YouTube ads are starting to kick in nicely. The only issue is that payouts on the YouTube platform seems to be 60 days AFTER the end of the month. In comparison, Twitch pays out 15 days after the end of the month. But, coupled with the increase in private readings, what we have already raised (and if things continue as they have been), we should have the laptop by December.
Moving forward
Thankfully, I think we have found our footing now with the amazing developments – the plan is to go back to the resources and plans that we had previously discussed. Many thanks for everyone’s patience with this huge, amazing and very unexpected expansion. Hopefully, we can really get the ball rolling now!
